Tech Support for P. D.
Creating a personalize learning network (PLN) for individual educational staff members that would include effective collaboration, meaningful technology tools, real time data into high quality instructional practices throughout the region would be the goal of this position. Just as in differential planning for our students, educators need a 'system' in which the measurement of their classroom readiness in regards to technology is effective. A comprehensive regional plan is necessary to achieve this goal.
I support he Classroom Readiness TRIG Grant T3 Training that is assisting educators into effectively planning and implementing online assessments and by increasing their technology proficiency. This plan has already been created from the TRIG Moodle site ready to launch educators toward achieving best practices of integrating technology and data. Coupled with feedback from area educators as to their instructional technology and data needs To further enhance personalized Professional Development throughout the region, I too would like to see an on going systematic format in which the communication of instructional technologies changes, ideas, questions and mandates were shared. Twitter (chats), Google Plus Hangouts, podcast, 'Tech Rally', Ed camps and many more social media tools are effective ways of establishing a systematic format to inform of ongoing changes and updates in regards to Instructional Technology. I have participated in various Ed camps and Tech Rallies and see this as the future format of Instructional Technology training. Effective leadership, visionary planning and meaningful collaboration with the regions 'Tech Rock Stars' is the key to a successful Instructional Consultant/Special Project coordinator and I have the necessary skill set and experience to fulfill this position. MY VISION OF THE FUTURE FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
#Edcamp
Giving power to those in attendance is the key component of providing a successful #Edcamp. No set agenda as topics are brainstormed, locations established and participants are encouraged to be connected to social media. Staff choice is a major element of a successful #edcamp becasue this allows TECH RALLY
Imagine walking into a room; music playing, name tags being made, sign=-up list filling the walls, facilitators working the room welcoming your attendance and a 'buzz' filling the entire room. CREATING MCC MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER RETREAT |
